October
Tuesdays 2-4:30

Choose any object that catches your eye—a seashell, a teacup, a pineapple, a crooked tree, even a witch’s hat!—and explore it through 100 creative prompts. Some will be slow and thoughtful, others quick and bold, and some will challenge your sense of color, mood, or scale. These prompts will challenge you to experiment with color, mood, and scale using any medium you like, including acrylics, pastels, watercolor, collage, or a combination of different ones.

Throughout the class, we’ll draw inspiration from artists past and present, beginning with Ann Craven’s current Farnsworth exhibition where she explores time, repetition, and painting serially. This workshop is designed to help you break creative habits, sharpen your skills, and have fun along the way.

The course meets on Zoom for four sessions, with time in between to complete prompts at your own pace. Between classes, you’ll share your work on a group Padlet, where we’ll discuss and reflect together.
